Introduction to the Author

If you're reading this, THANK YOU! Welcome to my journey blog. I want to tell you WHY I write this blog. I am really not an expert on anything, but in my 57 years of life, I have become WiSE from experience.  I have a thirst to learn something new every single day.
This isn't what I would call a "lifestyle blog," I am not setting out to be an influencer, but more of a sharer of my adventures and hopefully, I can tell you about foods, wines, places or activities in Texas that inspire you to get out and do, see, taste new things like I do,  in order to live your best life, every single day. We are in this blog together.
I am beginning this blog in the middle of 2022, to share and document about things I love and everything I experience and learn along the way. I love to write and the more I do it, the more ZEN I feel. It's therapeutic for me.
Full disclosure of my intention, other than the joy writing brings me, if I start blogging now, my hopes are to have a little more income for my family as a result of income from this blog, in addition to my 401k,  when I retire in 10+ years. Planning ahead is something I am guilty of. I like to plan WAY in advance.
The blog name represents the 3 parts of my personality. The name came to me, and I thought it was funny and appropriate. I love wine, I am most of the time a very sweet person, but there's a bit of sassiness inside me, as well.
Our blog (because it's not just mine, I write it for YOU, my readers,) is going to talk about food, plants, life hacks, how to make a difference while you're on this planet, travel in Texas (more states will be added as the years go by,) easy recipes, pet care, self care, exercise, product reviews, fun things to see and do, and yes, on occasion, cupcakes and wine.
To keep this blog rated PG, rarely will cussing will be involved. I can't promise there won't be a few f-bombs or otherwise, though. I said rarely, not never.
As I get more comfortable and experienced at journalism, I will post an email for y'all to send me requests for things to talk about, comments and criticism or whatever is on your minds.
A few tidbits about me, I got married at age 56 for the first, and ONLY, time to my favorite human on 4/10/22. I was so lucky to receive two bonus adult  kids in the deal, and they chose to call me mom on their own. EVERY SINGLE TIME they say it, my heart melts into a mushy puddle of love. I absolutely ADORE being a wife and mom.
I have worked for Trader Joe's since August of 2016 and have also been a server, in-house event planner/marketing innovator and social media contributor for the Chuy's restaurant location I have worked for since April of 2009. I love eating, and it's no coincidence that both of my jobs revolve around food.
I also babysit occasionally for 4 incredible kids, 2 dogs and a bird, whose family started out as my Chuy's customers and now have become like family to me.
I intend to return to college and take some classes to learn about creative writing and marketing in January 2023 at Lone Star College. I may be the oldest student when I start classes, but I am probably going to be the most determined and enthusiastic student that college system has ever seen.
Now, buckle up and get ready to enjoy our journey! Welcome aboard!
